Oklahoma’s REAL ID Deadline Extended
Vol.6 Issue 4

The state of Oklahoma recently joined the list of states who will be switching to the REAL ID, to comply with new standards set by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. After October 1, 2021 REAL ID cards will be mandatory for any patron to board any type of commercial aircraft. This extension from September 15, 2020 was made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety is planning to issue REAL IDS beginning April 30, 2020.

All state tag agencies and each Department of Motor Vehicle site in the state will have tools to help Oklahomans with the change.
