The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) is proud to work in partnership with the Oklahoma History Center (OHC). Aerospace is continuing to grow in Oklahoma, and it is recognized as the second largest industry in our state!

This May 2020, the OHC in conjunction with the Smithsonian, plans to host an exhibit on "Aerospace" in Oklahoma. The MMAC is an integral part of Oklahoma’s aviation history, and we have been asked to provide potential content for this exhibit. We know that many of you possess a wealth of historical aviation information and you may have some artifacts to further tell a story.

We are looking for stories that are integral to the Center’s mission and history in aviation.

If you have detailed stories with dates that fit into the larger picture of MMAC that we are trying to create, we welcome your input. We want to know the people involved, photos (if you have them), films, videos, artwork, innovations, any other artifacts that might enhance the telling the Aeronautical Center’s history.

All of us are connected to this incredible industry called aviation, and we want to showcase some of the important things that the Aeronautical Center has done and is doing, so that we can immerse other Oklahomans and museum visitors into the total MMAC experience.

As a Center, we are committed to educating and inspiring others about aviation, and this Aerospace exhibit is the perfect opportunity to do so. Remember, when people visit a Museum, it’s because they want to see things, learn new things, and experience something, that they never have before. Think of it as storytelling with artifacts.

If you think you might have a story/artifact/photo worthy of sharing, or know someone that does, please upload your content to our designated KSN site.

Content Deadline: February 28, 2020

Please note that your submitted content may also be used during the Aeronautical Center’s 75th Anniversary in 2021.
